Nicolas Hulot gets signatures fast

While Jean-Marie Le Pen continues to struggle to get his required 500 signatures, French eco-celebrity, Nicolas Hulot, who is not even necessarily a candidate, has received 130 signatures from elected officials in just the past 15 days. This news was announced by Gerard Feldzer, a museum director and the quasi-official campaign director of Hulot. Although Hulot has not yet decided if he will run, Feldzer's reply was utterly pragmatic: "It is necessary to prepare because after it will be too late. We will seek the signatures."
