Royal's China trip "useless"
According to one internet survey, Socialist candidate Segolene Royal's recent trip to China was not the success she was hoping it to be. On the trip itself, 40% of voters considered it "useless", with only 16% "useful" and 14% "succeeded". The more worrying figure for Royal is the number who believe she is capable of representing France internationally. Of the voters, a full 50% say "no", compared to 25% "yes". In addition, 56% said that Royal adopted the Chinese way of thinking too much, similar to criticism she received when in Lebanon and Israel. Luckily for Royal, she has never been considered strong on foreign policy, so damaging trips will not too greatly harm her electability. But that doesn't mean that one more mistake is one too many.
